Escapism is about the desire to escape the everyday and immerse yourself in the colourful, stimulating digital world. It is about losing yourself in a film, a niche, or social media, and the feeling of becoming another version of yourself, a freer, more curious, more alive one. The work asks what we leave behind when we temporarily step into another reality.
