Coral Globes

2024 | 8 x 8 x 8 cm | texture spheres | ceramics

Coral Globes are small ceramic spheres that carry the texture of endangered coral species. Each one is imprinted with the unique surface of a specific coral type, turning these delicate forms into lasting, tangible impressions of something under threat. They can be applied to other works, embedded into clay, or exist on their own. Textured shapes that bring depth, pattern, and tactility to a surface.

The work is about more than ornamentation. Each globe becomes a small act of remembrance, and when used, they form a spreading system of texture and attention. Like coral itself, they invite growth. Not only in form, but in awareness. The slow accumulation of these patterns becomes a quiet reflection on the loss of biodiversity, and a reminder that even something small can carry weight.
